Children's bus in bridge accident in Isle of Man
A bus transporting schoolchildren in the Isle of Man has been involved in an accident, the Department of Community, Culture and Leisure has said.
The Bus Vannin double-decker vehicle hit a bridge in Church Hill, Laxey, at about 08:00 BST.
The bus, on route 44, was taking children to Laxey and Douglas high schools.
The department said the bus was damaged but there were no reports of any injuries.
Ian Longworth, director of public transport, said: "We regret this incident occurred and are satisfied it seems not to have resulted in any injuries to staff or passengers.
"Police attended the scene and we will of course co-operate fully with any police investigation.
"We will also be undertaking our own internal investigation."
