Tynwald to elect the Isle of Man's new chief minister
Tynwald will elect either Allan Bell or Peter Karran later to succeed the retiring Tony Brown as the Isle of Man's new chief minister.
Ramsey MHK Mr Bell is the island's longest serving member of the House of Keys, having spent 27 years in office.
Liberal Vannin party leader Peter Karran topped the Onchan poll.
As long as a clear majority is achieved, the new chief minister will be elected to lead the Manx government for the next five years.
Chief Minister Tony Brown stepped down from Tynwald at the General Election on the 29 September.
Mr Brown began his political career in 1976 as a commissioner for Castletown and has since served 30 years in office as a member of the House of Keys.
