Police name motorcyclist killed in Fairy Bridge crash

Police have named a biker who died after his motorbike collided with a car at the Fairy Bridge in the Isle of Man.

John Barrie Sumner, 46, from Castletown was driving to work in Douglas when the accident happened at about 06:15 (GMT) on 3 January.

Police say he was riding a red Honda motorcycle which collided with a black Vauxhall Zafira.

A section of the main road between Castletown and Douglas was closed for several hours after the crash.

Anyone who witnessed the incident is asked to contact police.
