Isle of Man police officer forced to resign
A police officer from the Isle of Man has been forced to resign after being found guilty of three breaches of discipline.
The officer was found guilty at an internal hearing of two counts of neglect of duty and one count of discreditable conduct.
The police inquiry did not involve any criminal matters and the officer now has a right to appeal.
The officer, who has not been named, will officially finish on 31 March.
A spokesman said: "The chief constable imposed a penalty of a requirement to resign in lieu of dismissal."
