Diamond Jubilee: Manx Jubilee street party fees waived

People living in the Isle of Man who want to celebrate the Queen's Diamond Jubilee with a street party will not have to pay for a road closure.

The government said it would waive the fee normally charged as a special concession for events on 6 July.

Party organisers will also be able to borrow road closed and diversion signs.

An infrastructure spokesman said: "We want to make it easy to hold events without having to plough through mountains of forms and red tape."

Event guidelines and application forms are available online and must be submitted by 31 March.
