Assault victim returns to Isle of Man

A man who spent 10 days in a coma over Christmas after he was assaulted outside a Douglas night club has returned home.

Darryl McGeowan, 33, received "serious head injuries" in the incident which happened on 15 December at about 03:00 GMT on Loch Promenade.

He was airlifted to Liverpool's Walton Neurological Hospital where he was treated for a fractured skull.

Mr McGeowan, a father of three, is now back on the Isle of Man.
