Isle of Man Mountain Road reopens

The Isle of Man's Mountain road has reopened after extensive gritting between the Hairpin and the Creg-ny-baa, according to infrastructure.

The area was opened for a short time on Wednesday but had to be closed again due to high winds and drifting snow.

Beinn-y-Phott, Sulby Glen, Druidale and Injebreck will all remain closed until at least 12:00 (GMT) on Friday.

An infrastructure spokesman said Ballakillowey, Barregarrow crossroads and Druidale are passable with care.

A comprehensive list of road closures is available on the Isle of Man Constabulary's Facebook page.
