Fisherman rescued by Isle of Man lifeboat

A fisherman has been rescued after becoming ill while working on a vessel about 18 miles from the east coast of the Isle of Man.

Douglas lifeboat crew members were called out at about 03:30 BST to carry out a "medical evacuation".

A spokesman said the fisherman had been suffering "chest pains and tingling sensations in his limbs".

He was taken to Douglas Harbour where an ambulance crew was waiting to transfer him to hospital.
