Isle of Man capital scoops green flag awards
The island's capital has won two green flag awards in a national competition for environmental excellence.
Noble's Park and Marine Gardens on Loch Promenade in Douglas were recognised as being two of the best green spaces in the British Isles.
The annual Green Flag Award scheme, launched in 1996, is run by environment charity Keep Britain Tidy.
Council leader David Christian said he was confident the capital would go on to win more flags.
Judges consider a variety of factors including the sustainability, safety and cleanliness of the environment.
