Police name Scottish biker killed in crash

Isle of Man police have named a Scottish motorcyclist who died following a crash on Douglas Promenade.

James McFarlane, 51, from Edinburgh, was taken to hospital with serious injuries after a crash which involved three cars and a motorbike.

It happened at about 14:00 BST on Thursday on the Central Promenade near the Castle Mona shops.

Police said the visiting biker died in the early hours of Friday. Any witnesses are asked to contact police.
