Isle of Man attorney general Stephen Harding faces retrial
The Isle of Man's attorney general is to face a retrial after a jury failed to reach verdicts on perjury and acts against public justice charges.
Stephen Harding, 52, of Glen Vine, was suspended as the government's main legal adviser last year and denied the charges.
The jury deliberated for 11 hours before being discharged.
No date has yet been set for the retrial but notification is expected soon, prosecution lawyers said.
The charges relate to a period between April and September 2010 when Mr Harding was a government advocate.
