'Blunt force trauma' killed Isle of Man motorcyclist

A motorcyclist from the Isle of Man who was killed in a crash earlier this month died from "massive blunt force trauma", an inquest has heard.

Gary Hubble, 53, from Sulby, crashed on the A3 Lezayre Road at about 10:30 BST on 3 June.

Coroner John Needham told the inquest at Douglas Court House that the IT engineer, born in Essex, also suffered head and leg injuries.

Mr Needham added that investigations into the crash are ongoing.

The inquest has been adjourned until a date yet to be fixed.

Mr Hubble's body has been released to his family, to whom Mr Needham offered his sincere condolences.
