Two arrested after heroin seized at Isle of Man airport

Two men from Ramsey have been arrested at Isle of Man Airport after heroin with a street value of nearly £23,000 was seized.

Police said the men were arrested at Ronaldsway on suspicion of importing the Class A drug with intent to supply on Tuesday evening.

Both men are currently in custody and inquiries are ongoing.

Insp Mark Newey said preventing nearly £23,000 of heroin reaching the streets of the Isle of Man was "significant."
