Four Isle of Man flags have been replaced after they were stolen from a war memorial in the south of the island.

The theft happened at the Mona's Queen III Anchor Memorial at Kallow Point in Port St Mary in August.

Manufacturers Newton Flags donated replacement flags after an appeal on Twitter by Manx police.

The memorial commemorates Manx men and women who served in the Merchant Navy during the evacuation of Dunkirk.

The TSS Mona's Queen III was one of three Steam Packet Company vessels lost during the operation.
