Pedestrian struck by coach named as teacher Robert Campbell
A man who died after he was hit by a coach on the Isle of Man has been named by police.
Robert Campbell was struck by the vehicle, which was heading towards Douglas, in the early hours of Saturday on Richmond Hill, Braddan.
The 31-year-old from Santon was a PE teacher at St Ninian's High School in Douglas.
Friends and pupils of Mr Campbell have been using the department's Facebook page to pay tribute.
Jonathan Leece wrote: "He fitted so much into his oh so very short life.
"Parish walk finish, qualified skydiver, end to end mountain bike, round the island Viking boat row, Manx mountain marathon to name a few."
He added: "He is gone in the physical sense but in Ramsey especially he will be remembered."
Andrea Barker said: "So tragic, such a well respected and liked teacher, colleague and individual. Sincere condolences to loved ones".
Police said inquiries into the collision were continuing.
