Isle of Man burglary warning issued by police after five more reported
Five more burglaries on the Isle of Man have prompted police to appeal for public vigilance.
The latest ones happened on 14 and 15 January in the south of the island and in the Onchan and Douglas areas.
They follow 11 break-ins and attempted break-ins last weekend - most of which were reported by Douglas residents.
"We are asking people to be vigilant, both around their own and neighbouring houses, particularly if unoccupied," said Det Insp David Dobbie.
Police said there have been more than 20 domestic burglaries in the Isle of Man since the beginning of January.
Extra staff have been deployed, said the Manx Constabulary, and additional patrols continue.
