A trial date has been set for a driver charged with the manslaughter of his 10-year old daughter in a crash in the Isle of Man.

Raymond French's daughter Alexis was killed when the BMW he was driving collided with a bus near Castletown in October 2013.

Mr French, from Ballaugh, is also charged with causing death and serious injury by dangerous driving.

The 46-year old, who denies the charges, will stand trial on 1 October.

The trial is expected to last about seven days.
