The Isle of Man's Mountain Road has been closed for final preparations ahead of Saturday's opening TT practice session.

It will remain shut to traffic between the Ramsey Hairpin and the Creg-ny-Baa until 16:30 BST.

When the road reopens it will have been converted to a one-way system for the duration of the two-week festival.

The system was introduced in 2007 as a safety measure to reduce the likelihood of head-on collisions on the road.

The first practice session will be held on the Mountain Course on Saturday with the event's opening Superbike race the following week.

The full practice and race schedule is available online.
