Eddie Teare threat letters: Man, 63, given suspended jail sentence
A man who wrote threatening letters to an Isle of Man minister has been given a suspended prison sentence.
John Corran, of Allan Street in Douglas, had already admitted sending threatening letters to Treasury Minister Eddie Teare and his wife.
Douglas courthouse heard Corran, 63, was receiving treatment for mental issues and was "genuinely remorseful."
Corran was jailed for three months, suspended for two years, and barred from contacting Mr Teare or his family.
The politician was sent anonymous letters in November 2014 and March 2015 by Corran.
