Huyton man in court over £250k cannabis haul on Isle of Man ferry

A man has admitted possessing cannabis with a street value of £250,000 found hidden in his vehicle on a ferry arriving at the Isle of Man.

Alex Conner, from Huyton, Merseyside, was stopped by authorities at the ferry terminal in Douglas on Friday.

The 50-year-old pleaded guilty to production and possession of cannabis with intent to supply at Douglas Court House earlier.

He was remanded in custody to appear in court again on 8 July.
