Man jailed for raping three women on Isle of Man

A man who was convicted of raping three women has been jailed for 18 years.

William Henry Kelly, of Magher Breek, Peel, attacked the women between 2013 and 2016 on the Isle of Man.

Kelly was found guilty of 16 offences including rape and indecent assault at Douglas courthouse and was jailed for 18 years.

Deemster Peter Birkett described the 46-year-old as a "cruel, predatory and persistent rapist".

Police said he left his victims "blaming themselves to varying degrees".

"This is one of the most significant cases that has been brought before the Manx courts in some time."
