Woman hit by bus in Jersey suffers suspected broken arm

A woman has been taken to hospital after being hit by a bus in Jersey.

The pedestrian was on Rue du Fort, near the Georgetown Co-op store, when the accident happened at about 0830 BST.

An ambulance crew treated her at the scene for facial injuries and a suspected broken arm before transferring her to the A&E unit.

Police said that passengers on the bus were transferred to another vehicle and that traffic tailbacks in the area were cleared by about 0900 BST.

Anyone who witnessed the accident is asked to contact police.
