Fire breaks out at a barn attached to Jersey cottage

An electrical fault is believed to have been the cause of a fire in Jersey.

A storage barn, adjacent to a cottage on Mont le Vaux, St Brelade, was found on fire at about 1300 BST.

Police closed the road for more than an hour while fire crews tackled the blaze, after a woman who lived in the cottage called the emergency services.

Fire officers investigating the fire have said it is thought to have been caused by an electrical fault.

They said no-one is thought to have been hurt.
