This year's maize maze will be called "Bug Safari" and the park will hold interactive workshops around the theme.

The aMaizin! adventure park in St Peter has collaborated with the National Trust for Jersey for the theme.

The trust is celebrating its 75th anniversary and wants to raise awareness of environmental issues.

Carlton le Feuvre, from the aMaizin! adventure park, said: "We decided that it would be great if the maze design reflected the "Bug Safari" concept.

"The trust has a wealth of knowledge and expertise in this area and we felt it would work well with the environmental approach at the park."

Stephen Le Quesne, educational officer for the National Trust, said: "It has been a very different project for us and I have enjoyed designing the Maze Scavenger Hunt around the "Bug Safari" scheme.

"This is a great fit for the National Trust and opens the trust to a younger audience in an exciting and interactive way," he said.

The park opens on Saturday 2 April and the aMaizin! Maze opens on Monday 1 July.
