Jersey man jailed for a year for making indecent images

A man from Jersey has been jailed for a year for making dozens of indecent images of children.

Andrew William Cook, 47, was found guilty of 44 offences.

He appeared in the Royal Court on Tuesday where he was also given a five-year restraining order prohibiting him from using computer software designed to destroy or hide internet activity.

In addition, the computers and equipment he used for the offence will be destroyed.

His name will be placed on the Sex Offenders Register for a minimum of five years.
