Nostalgia exhibition on at Jersey museum

A new exhibition made up of donated objects and stories from people in Jersey has opened.

All our Yesterdays, the People's Exhibition is at the Jersey Museum and looks at life in the island from the 1950s to the 1980s.

Jason Castledine, from Jersey Heritage, said they had started with collecting days to gather the objects.

He said: "The response from islanders was so good we thought we would do an exhibition."

Mr Castledine said: "We had four [collecting days], we started with the 1950s, then 60s, 70s and then 80s.

"The response from them was so good from islanders who brought so many amazing things.

"We could have done 10 exhibitions with the things brought in, the response has been brilliant from the island."

The exhibition includes everyday items donated by people in Jersey between 1950 and 1990.

The objects include old computer games consoles, clothes and toys and is on from 13 May to 31 December 2011.
