La Rue de Scez in St Martin wins Scenic Lane award

La Rue de Scez in St Martin has been named the prettiest lane in Jersey by the Societe Jersiase.

The lane, which winds down the hill near Rozel Manor, leads to a small grass car park above the Saie Slipway and the Dolmen du Couperon.

It was the second time the lane has won the annual Scenic Lane award.

This year 11 parishes took part in the Scenic Lane competition, including St Clement, which had not entered for some time.

Le Chemin des Hougues in St Mary was the runner up and Le Petit Catillon in Grouville came in third place.

Vallee des Vaux in St Helier and Les Charriers Malorey in St Lawrence took joint fourth place in the competition.

Last year the winner was the Rue de L'Epine above Bouley Bay in Trinity.
