UK soul jazz singer performs at Jersey awards ceremony
A leading UK soul jazz singer will be performing at the 2011 Jersey Construction Awards on 17 September.
Natalie Williams has performed alongside Alison Moyet, John Legend, Lemar and the late Amy Winehouse. She opened the 2009 London Jazz Festival, and has performed at Glastonbury.
She hosts a monthly residency at Ronnie Scott's Jazz Club in London.
Jamie Cullum said she was a "truly real, beautiful star worthy of everyone's attention."
She will be performing with her band Soul Family as a quintet thanks to sponsorship from a local construction recruitment firm.
Jersey Construction Council Awards Committee Chairman David Morris said he was delighted that Natalie would be performing at the awards evening.
"The entertainment on the night will be absolutely first class, our guest speaker is the inspirational Sir Clive Woodward and adding Natalie to that mix means that we have a fantastic evening lined up," he said.
The gala evening will present 10 awards to companies from all sectors of the construction industry in categories like Apprentice of the Year and the Sustainability award.
