Alfie Boe support act announced for Jersey

Laura Wright Laura Wright has performed for the Queen and the prime minister

A former BBC Radio 2 Chorister of the Year will perform at a concert in Jersey with Alfie Boe.

Laura Wright, now 21, was 15 when she won the award which resulted in performances around the UK.

She was part of the female vocal quartet All Angels whose first album was the fastest selling classical album of all time.

The concert is on 21 August at the Gloucester Hall, Fort Regent in St Helier.

Laura Wright will open the concert with tracks from her new album and will sing a duet with Alfie Boe later in the show.

Mr Boe said: "I am delighted Laura will join us for our concerts in Guernsey and Jersey and I know everyone will love the quality of her voice and personality.

"I know she will add greatly to the evening."
