Jersey's first aiders 'tested' by St John Ambulance

First aiders from companies in Jersey are being tested against each other by St John Ambulance, in the hope it will refresh their skills.

The charity said it wanted to give first aiders the chance to practise what they had learnt.

It hopes businesses will come forward and compete against each other, in a realistic situation in October.

Trainer, Lynne Bouchard said it was important for first aiders to know what to do in an emergency.

"First aiders only re-qualify every three years, so this will give them the opportunity to refresh their skills and have some fun competing against other companies," she added.
