The States of Jersey Police said there had been a long-term operation involving France and Jersey.

An area in Grouville, Jersey, has been taped off. The BBC understands the police are searching there.

Det Insp Gary Pashley said: "The States of Jersey Police will continue to be relentless in their effort to investigate those people who we believe are involved in facilitating and participating in the distribution of controlled drugs.

"This is an excellent example of the good working relations we have built up nationally and internationally with other law enforcement agencies."
