A martello tower in St Ouen's Bay in Jersey could be converted into a holiday let, if planners agree.

The Jersey Heritage Trust has applied for planning permission to change the use of Kempt Tower to holiday rental accommodation.

The martello tower, on La Grande Route des Mielles, is currently hosting an exhibition about the wildlife of the surrounding fields and dunes.

Last month the trust said it wanted to add self-catering units at Hamptonne.

The Jersey Heritage Trust has already changed Archirondel Tower, Fort Leicester, L'Etacquerel Fort, La Crête Fort , La Tour Cârrée, Lewis's Tower, The Radio Tower, Seymour Tower and Barge Aground into holiday lets.
