Jersey's new chief minister will face questions from politicians for the first time since taking office.

It is the first full meeting of the new States since the Autumn elections.

Senator Ian Gorst will field a range of questions from one about a project to build a new primary school to the future of youth service facilities.

Senator Gorst and treasury minister Senator Philip Ozouf will both face questions without notice from other States members for 15 minutes each.

The States will also look at a scheme to help people buy their first home.

Members will also decide whether new developments on the Esplanade car park and in the old harbour should be built.
