Jersey's young people 'will be heard'

Young people in Jersey will have more chance to make a difference and be heard, the island's Youth Service says.

The service is launching the new promise at its annual conference this weekend.

It said it was one of the commitments being made in its updated Young People's Charter.

In return, young islanders were expected to respect themselves, respect others, and also respect any venues made available to them, it said.

The service offers a range of personal and social development opportunities, targeting young people aged between 12 and 18.
