Jersey Folklore festival confirms three new acts

Organisers of Jersey's newest music festival have confirmed an additional three acts for the event which is headlined by Van Morrison.

Badly Drawn Boy, Finley Quaye and Jersey's Lloyd Yates will perform alongside Morrison and Kinks frontman Ray Davies.

The 5,000-capacity festival is in St Helier's People's Park and is the most southerly in the British Isles.

Lee 'Scratch' Perry and Joan Armatrading will also perform.

Other acts include French bossa nova band Nouvelle Vague, psychedelic folk performer Rodriguez and punk poet John Cooper Clarke.

Cooper Clarke is the only act confirmed for the second stage so far. The stage will feature a mix of music, film, poetry and comedy.

Tickets are £105 for the weekend or £65.50 for a single day. It is on from Saturday 30 June to Sunday 1 July.
