As part of their 30th birthday celebrations BBC Radio Jersey launched a Search for a Star competition.

The station invited islanders to have a go at becoming a radio presenter with the chance of winning their own programme on BBC Radio Jersey.

On Jubilee Bank Holiday Monday from 09:00 BST join Matthew Price at Breakfast to hear the six short-listed entries.

The budding broadcasters will have the chance to show a panel of judges exactly what they can do on air.

BBC Radio Jersey's Murray Norton, the Jersey Evening Post's Caroline Moody and Clare Burton from BBC Channel Islands News are on the panel who will choose the winner.
