Fatal fall prompts safe walking advice for Jersey tourists

Safe walking paths are to be promoted in Jersey following a fatal accident.

Holidaymakers Peter and Lorraine Scurr from Southampton fell from a path in St Aubin on Monday. Mr Scurr was killed and his wife critically injured.

They fell about 66ft (20m) from cliffs on to the concrete roof of the German tunnels below Railway Walk.

The States of Jersey Fire and Rescue Service has asked Jersey Tourism to actively promote marked paths which are safe for visitors to the island.
