Plans for more than 60 homes on the site of the old pottery works in Grouville in Jersey have been given the go ahead.

Jersey's Planning Minister has approved an application from Dandara to build 44 houses and 18 flats in Gorey Village.

As part of the project the developer has to contribute towards an eastern cycle path and build a new bus shelter.

The former tourist attraction opened in 1946 but closed earlier this year after a fall in visitors.

Jersey Pottery has moved all pottery production to the UK but its retail and catering outlets remain in Jersey.
