Jersey charity in new fundraising push

A Jersey charity hopes to raise enough money to pay for a new lift and minibus as part of its 30th anniversary fundraising push.

The Jersey Cheshire Home was set up to offer independence and choice to its disabled residents.

It is trying to raise £300,000 by asking people in Jersey to organise 30-minute charity events.

The charity launched the fundraising push with an open day at its facility in Rope Walk, St Helier.
