Jersey and Guernsey ministers meet to discuss co-operation

Jersey and Guernsey ministers are to meet to discuss working together and using public funds more efficiently.

The islands' chief ministers will lead the meeting of ministerial colleagues in Jersey on Monday.

Jersey's transport, health and assistant treasury ministers and Guernsey's public services and treasury ministers will attend.

Health services, energy supply and waste management will be the main topics of discussion at the meeting.

The politicians will also discuss working together to deliver public services.

A States spokesman said the chief ministers would issue a joint statement following the meeting.
