Jersey care home Maison de Ville to close early

Jersey care home Maison de Ville Maison de Ville is one of three care homes run by the Parish of St Helier

Jersey care home Maison de Ville will close down in fewer than four months.

Due to financial problems, the home was due to close by the end of 2014 to allow time for its 26 residents to be rehomed.

But it is now due to close in February as more than half of its residents have been found places elsewhere and the remainder are due to follow shortly.

The centre, run by the Parish of St Helier, can hold up to 50 residents and employs 122 staff.
