One lane of Jersey's Mount Bingham road to reopen after rock fall

One lane of a road closed due to a rock fall is due to reopen on Thursday.

The road around Mount Bingham, in St Helier, Jersey, has been closed since 16 September after rocks fell from the cliff face.

A spokesman for Transport and Technical Services said the road would be open for westbound traffic from 07:00 GMT.

He said the current moves to manage the traffic - such as the reversal of some one-way roads during the mornings - would end at the same time.

The spokesman said the eastbound lane was likely to remain closed until Christmas while work to stabilise the cliff face continued.
