Jersey parents of troubled teens to support each other
Parents have set up a group to help guardians of troubled teenagers after more than 100 young people were reported missing in Jersey last year.
The majority of people turn up safe and well with many unaware that relatives are worried about them.
Support for Parents of Troubled Teenagers (SPOTT) now offers a monthly meeting for parents.
They can discuss the difficulties they are experiencing, and get advice from others in a similar position.
A SPOTT spokesman said: "With any troubled teenager, the family as a unit is often overlooked. The impact on parents and siblings is huge and it is apparent that more work needs to be done with families which can be the strongest support to a teenager."
