Help

At least six people have been killed and an estimated 1,000 homes flooded in the Peruvian city of Arequipa, after torrential rain spread along the Pacific coast side of South America.

Cars became trapped in mud after flood water swept through streets.

The national meteorological service said that the bad weather brought down the equivalent of three months of rain in about seven hours.
