The BBC's Wyre Davies reports on the situation in Gaza City after eight days of exchanges of fire between Israel and Gaza.

Dozens of people were injured and three required surgery following an explosion on a bus in Israel's commercial capital, Tel Aviv, in what one Israeli official described as a "terrorist attack".

A ceasefire is intended to come into effect at 19:00 GMT (21:00 local time) on Thursday, according to Egyptian and Hamas officials.
