Art project helps transform lives of Syrian refugee children

24 July 2013 Last updated at 20:54 BST

Most of the Syrian children in the Zataari refugee camp in Jordan fled across the country's borders to escape the bloody internal battle between forces loyal to President Bashar Al-Assad and those opposed to his rule.

But a project set up by an American artist is helping them overcome memories of the violence and suffering they witnessed and experienced back home.

Roopa Suchak reports.
