Syria crisis: France to table UN resolution

France will table a resolution to the UN Security Council calling on Syria to "shed all light" on its chemical weapons programme, the French Foreign Minister has said.

Speaking in Paris, Laurent Fabius said the decision to "take the initiative" was made following discussions with President Francois Hollande.

He said: "France will today table to its partners at the security council, a draft resolution."
