Emmy award for BBC News Syria reports

BBC World News has won a prestigious Emmy Award for its coverage of the conflict in Syria.

Reporters Paul Wood and Ian Pannell, accompanied by cameramen Fred Scott and Darren Conway, were recognised for their work inside Syria as the country descended into violent civil war.

The team beat competition from US broadcasters CNN, NBC and CBS to win the award, which was presented at the News and Documentary Emmys on 1 October, 2013.
