Egyptian security forces have been targeted in several attacks around the country.

Officials said five people died when a car bomb exploded in southern Sinai, and gunmen shot dead five soldiers who were in a patrol vehicle near the city of Ismailiya.

A rocket-propelled grenade is reported to have hit a satellite station in a Cairo suburb.
