Saudi women drivers protest by getting behind wheel

27 October 2013 Last updated at 01:12 GMT

Activists in Saudi Arabia say more than 60 women have taken to the streets in their cars in defiance of the country's ban on female drivers.

Dozens of videos of women driving were posted online, despite warnings from authorities that those who took part risked arrest.

The action comes after 17,000 people signed a petition calling for the ban to be lifted.

Laura Westbrook reports.
